LinkedIn is changing FAST

Together with G2

Most marketers don’t know how to sell AI. I didn’t either.

Buyers are changing fast, and tech is moving even faster. It's hard as hell to keep up.

But shouting “Now with AI!” isn't enough to stand out and win.

If your messaging feels vague, value props are weak, and your pipeline targets are flat...

G2’s new Buyer Behavior Report reveals what buyers are looking for—and how to fix our approach.

Inside you'll find:

• The one shift in buyer behavior that makes your CFO-focused content obsolete

• Why proving ROI too soon could be killing deals (and what to do instead)

• The new source of trust that just leapfrogged Google — and how to show up there

See the report here.

I just wrapped my first LinkedIn Growth Cohort — and I’m still buzzing.

But not because of what I did, but from the massive (and fast) wins from the group:

✅ One person launched her business and got two inbound collab requests

✅ Another landed her first speaking opportunity because of her content

✅ And a third updated his profile and the next day an ideal buyer reached out to talk

That’s the stuff that fires me up.

Helping people show up their way — and get results that change their career.

It went so well that I’m launching another cohort that starts on June 23rd. You can join the waitlist to get early access and an exclusive discount.

Until then, I wanna share the most popular questions I heard: “What's working right now?”

Given that I post multiple times per week, help 6 CEOs grow their accounts, and coach this cohort, I see a lot of what’s working, what doesn’t, and what’s new.

And the key to winning on any channel is understanding and getting a jump on trends and platform changes.

So that’s exactly what we’re going to do for the next 3 minutes.

You ready? Let’s ride.

#1: LinkedIn is now tracking comment views.

This isn’t just another metric. It’s a signal.

LinkedIn is telling us: “We’re watching who adds value — not just who posts.”

This reveals their continued transformation from a digital resume tool to a true social media platform. And they’re incentivizing us to comment more by showing a tangible impact on visibility.

This changes how I think about using LinkedIn.

Because now you can see the impact of your comments.

For example: Last week, one of my comments got more views than my post that day.

And it’s a good reminder: You don’t need to publish daily to be seen daily.

What I’m doing: Leaving ~3 high-quality comments a day (especially on posts by execs, peers, or folks I’d love to work with).

No, I’m not spending hours per day. But an intentional 5 minutes here and there goes a long way.

Think of comments as micro content with macro reach.

#2: You don’t need to be the best. You need to be the first call.

This topic came up a few times in my growth cohort: the idea of "being credible enough" to post.

So they revert to sharing as much expertise as they can.

But that’s not the only (or the best) way to spark inbound or direct sales.

Being top of mind is more powerful than being perfect.

When your audience has a problem — the kind that makes them pause and say, “We need help with this…”

I want your name to be the one that pops into their head.

That’s called recall. And why I focus on mindshare marketing with my LinkedIn content.

To make sure people think of you — before they start Googling someone else.

What I’m doing:

  • Doubling down on my “one word” (content strategy)
  • Repeating my POV more often, not chasing every new trend
  • Optimizing for recognition more than reactions

When someone has a problem I solve, I want my name to be the first one that comes up — even if I’m not in the room.

#3: People don’t just want what you know. They want how you think.

This one’s been a BIG shift for me.

For years, I built my brand on tactical content.

Tips. Frameworks. Examples.

It worked — and it still does.

But with AI flooding the feed, that content is everywhere.

Meaning you can't stand out with how-to alone.

So I’ve been shifting. More perspective. More storytelling.

More “here’s how I’m thinking about this — and what I’m doing because of it.”

It hasn’t been easy. I've really had to push myself. It's been uncomfortable.

At first, I worried: is this too soft? too abstract? too vulnerable?

But here’s the good news… it’s working.

My engagement is stronger.

People are responding with DMs, not just likes. (Which is a HUGE signal for emotional resonance).

And I’m building real trust, not just reach.

What I’m doing:

  • Sharing what I’m seeing, thinking, and doing each week (not just what I “know”)
  • Posting more video — to let people hear my voice and see how I show up
  • Trying not to have all the answers — just share where I am, how I am.

Final thought:

LinkedIn is evolving fast.

The feed is shifting.
Video is exploding.
And now, even your comments are being measured.

The good news?

There’s still a massive opportunity if you’re willing to show up and learn as you go.

That’s what I’m doing.

And it’s what I’m helping others do, too.

The next LinkedIn Growth Cohort kicks off June 23rd.
