This week, I reflected on what I’m most grateful for:
The ability to do my best work.
As a dad.
A husband.
A friend.
A marketer.
I feel happiest and most fulfilled when I end the day knowing I gave it my all and showed up as the best version of myself.
But here’s the truth: I wouldn’t be at my best without the incredible people around me.
Professionally speaking, it’s my inner circle of friends and partners who inspire, motivate, and push me to produce my best work.
So today, I want to shine a light on them and share my gratitude—and their brilliance—with you:
Zach Roberts (Co-Host, We Are Not Marketers Podcast)
You know how some people "fill up your cup" and give you energy? That's Zach. I love watching his journey from an in-house marketer to an entrepreneur and podcast host. Definitely worth a follow.
Check out his podcast here:
Eddie Shleyner (Founder, VeryGoodCopy.com)
I am fortunate that Eddie went from an "internet work friend" to a personal friend this year when I met him in Chicago for my show. He's the best writer I've ever met, and it's not even close. TBH he's so talented it'd almost be annoying if he wasn't also so damn humble.
You can check out his newsletter, landing page course, and his episode of Reed Between The Lines:
Erica has STYLE — and she's not afraid to hold back. She inspires me every week with her seemingly effortless ability to tell personal stories that make her credible and liked. I'm grateful we exchange insanity-check voice memos that usually start with "Am I crazy or..."
You can check out her newsletter, courses, and her episode of Reed Between The Lines. (You're seeing a pattern...)
There are MANY more people I could easily mention, but let's keep the party movin'...
Partners (and friends) who help me do my best work
And they can do the same for you.
David is like a great tattoo artist—he takes my half-baked vision and turns it into something wow-worthy. He's my creative director and producer of Reed Between The Lines and all my video courses because he has vision and likes taking creative risks.
Email him if you want to create impressive video content: david@mainstage.pro
I've produced three shows with Rachel and her team, and two have become a top 10% global podcast. that's because she' knows content that resonates and doesn't settle for the status quo
Email her if you want to launch a high-quality video or podcast show: rachel.downey@shareyourgenius.com
Aneesh Lal (Founder, Wishly Group)
Aneesh is my agent — which is still surreal to say — who helped me grow The Reeder significantly this year through influencer marketing campaigns with major SaaS brands. He's also become a trusted friend who boosts my confidence and motivation when I need it most.
Email him to hire his creators for influencer marketing campaigns: aneesh@wishly.ca
DJ was the first freelance writer I ever hired at Gong. He's talented and fast, and he pushes me creatively. Most importantly though, he always reminds me not to take life, work, or B2B content too seriously. Majorly helpful when I tend to be my own worst critic.
Email him if you're looking for a reliable and creative freelance writer: djwaldow@gmail.com
Donna Mostrom (Founder & Copywriter, Damn Smart Marketing)
Donna has been my writing partner in crime for 5+ years at Gong, Clari, and now The Reeder. She's helped me produce some of the top-performing content in my career. That kind of trust and talent is hard to find.

If you’re striving to do your best work,
surround yourself with people who push you, believe in you, and give you the confidence to keep going.
Because the best work isn’t done alone.
It’s done with a bit of inspiration, vision, and a lot of gratitude.
Holler at you later,
Devin
